St. Bernard, LA – A 13-year-old boy was killed, and another juvenile was injured Friday night in a bicycle crash involving an SUV in St. Bernard Parish.
According to Louisiana State Police, the crash occurred around 10:20 p.m. on LA 300 near LA 39. Investigators say Joshua Bordelon and another juvenile were riding a bicycle in the middle of the westbound lane when a 2014 GMC Yukon struck them. The area was poorly lit, and the bicycle had no lights.
Bordelon suffered fatal injuries, while the other rider sustained moderate injuries. The GMC driver, who was not properly restrained, was uninjured. Authorities are investigating the crash.
