Pocatello, ID – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect across eastern Idaho until 6 a.m. Friday, as snowfall continues to impact several mountain regions, leading to potentially hazardous road conditions.

According to the National Weather Service in Pocatello, affected areas include the Big Hole Mountains, Blackfoot Mountains, Caribou Range, Marsh and Arbon Highlands, as well as the Centennial Mountains and Island Park. These regions are expected to receive additional snowfall accumulations of up to 3 inches.

Communities such as Bone, Downey, Inkom, Soda Springs, Henry, Lava Hot Springs, and Victor should prepare for slick and snow-covered roads. Similarly, residents in Island Park, Kilgore, Malad, Preston, and Bear Lake Valley will also see accumulating snow, which may create travel challenges.

Authorities advise motorists to drive cautiously, as slippery road conditions remain possible throughout the affected regions. Travelers can check real-time road conditions by calling 511 or visiting 511.idaho.gov.
