Milwaukee, WI – Authorities are reporting this afternoon a person of interest has been detained after a severed leg was found near Warnimont Park’s golf course earlier this week.
The discovery, made just before 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, prompted an immediate investigation by local police and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), according to officials.
According to investigators, a person of interest is now in custody. The case progressed rapidly, leading law enforcement to a south side Milwaukee residence where the individual was detained.
Authorities are urging the public to provide any credible information via the MCSO non-emergency line or anonymously through the AtlasOne app.
