Richmond, VA – In response to a recent surge in motorcycle-related fatalities, Virginia State Police have renewed their call for motorcyclists to enroll in the complimentary “Ride 2 Save Lives” courses offered throughout the Commonwealth.

This urgent appeal comes after five tragic motorcycle accidents occurred this week alone, compelling state authorities to take action.According to the Virginia State Police, the warmer climate has brought an increase in both motorcycle and vehicular traffic, heightening the risk of roadway incidents.

The free courses, running through October, aim to educate riders on handling potential hazards and enhancing road safety. Sessions are conducted by skilled Motors Troopers, ensuring a comprehensive learning environment. Interested individuals are urged to secure their spots via the program’s registration page, as participation requires a Class ‘M’ motorcycle license and US Department of Transportation-approved gear.
