Driver Killed in I-65 After 20ft Drop off Cliff in Truck on Saturday

Nashville, TN – A 54-year-old man was killed in a crash on I-65 North near the I-24 West split Saturday morning. Roberto Estrada was driving his Dodge Ram pickup truck northbound when he lost control at a curve, entered the median, and fell off a 20-foot cliff on the southbound side of I-65.

According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 11 a.m. Estrada was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he later died. His 49-year-old and 2-year-old passengers were also taken to Vanderbilt with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities reported no signs of impairment at the scene.
