York County, SC – An early-morning armed robbery investigation tied to a Fort Mill fast-food restaurant has led to an arrest, according to authorities, with the suspect now being held without bond.

According to Rock Hill Police, DeQuinton Davion Walker, 24, of Rock Hill, was arrested Thursday at his home following warrants issued in connection with an armed robbery at a Burger King in Fort Mill. The incident occurred earlier this month and prompted a multi-day investigation involving York County authorities.

Police say the robbery happened on Thursday, December 4, at the Burger King located along Highway 21 in Fort Mill, a busy corridor that connects the town to Rock Hill and the greater Charlotte metro area. Investigators allege Walker entered the restaurant during early morning hours, sprayed security cameras inside the business, and demanded the manager open the safe.

According to police, the suspect allegedly fled the scene with approximately $200 in cash. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Following the robbery, detectives worked to identify a suspect and obtained arrest warrants, leading to Walker’s arrest on Thursday, December 11. Authorities have not said whether a weapon was recovered.

Walker is currently being held at the York County Detention Center without bond. The case remains under investigation, and additional charges could be possible.

Police are asking anyone with information related to the robbery or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area that morning to contact local law enforcement.
