Investigators said Dominic Small, 28, of Lyman, was walking east when he was hit by a red 2017 Ford Focus driven by Ronald Pendleton, 37, of Old Orchard Beach.
Pendleton was also traveling eastbound when the collision occurred. Officials said Small was transported by Goodwins Mills Rescue to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he later died from his injuries.
The Kennebunk Police Department is reconstructing the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing. Deputies Marshall and Gould are leading the case for the sheriff’s office.
