Ferris Mountains, WY – A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Ferris, Seminoe, and Shirley Mountains, with snow expected from 6 a.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. The National Weather Service predicts snow accumulations between 2 to 4 inches, with higher totals in areas above 8,000 feet.

Road conditions are expected to deteriorate as snow begins, making bridges and overpasses especially slick and hazardous. Commuters should plan for difficult travel conditions during both the Friday morning and evening commutes. Extra caution is advised, as visibility could be reduced and roads may become treacherous.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and allow for extra travel time. Make sure your vehicle is equipped for winter driving conditions, and check local road conditions by dialing 511 before setting out. The National Weather Service also advises being prepared for additional delays due to adverse weather.

Residents should monitor local forecasts and remain prepared for potential travel impacts. By staying informed and taking precautions, you can help ensure safety throughout this early-season snowfall.
