Wyoming Winter Storm Warning: Up to 18 Inches of Snow Expected Through Sunday

Jackson, WY – A major winter storm is set to impact the Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains starting Saturday, with heavy snowfall expected through Sunday evening.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Riverton, a Winter Storm Warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. Saturday to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Tetons are forecast to receive 12 to 24 inches of snow, with localized amounts potentially reaching up to 30 inches in higher elevations. The Gros Ventre Mountains are expected to see accumulations ranging from 12 to 18 inches.

Travel conditions could become hazardous, especially along Teton Pass, where more than a foot of snow is highly likely. The NWS recommends keeping emergency supplies, such as a flashlight, food, and water, in vehicles in case of delays or accidents.
