Riverton, Wyo. – Residents across central Wyoming can expect a stretch of sunny, warm days heading into the weekend, with temperatures climbing into the low 80s by Saturday. Skies will stay mostly clear, providing dry conditions for outdoor plans through Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, light winds will shift direction over the next several days but remain calm, generally under 10 mph. Saturday looks to be the warmest day, with highs near 82 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Nights will stay cool, dipping into the mid-40s.

The weather pattern begins to shift late Sunday into Monday, when a weak system could bring a 20 percent chance of showers to Fremont County. While rainfall totals look light, cooler air behind the front may drop Riverton’s highs to the low 70s to start the workweek.

Travelers should take advantage of the clear weekend conditions before showers move in. Any early-week rainfall could create slick morning roads, particularly along U.S. 26 and Wyoming Highway 789.

More updates are expected as Monday approaches, but for now, sunshine dominates central Wyoming through the weekend.
