Cheyenne, WY – Wyoming is set to experience a significant warm-up over the next few days as an upper-level ridge builds over the Rockies, leading to hotter and largely dry conditions. Thursday will see temperatures ranging from 76°F to 85°F, with a slight chance of storms in the evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, the heat will intensify on Friday, with highs reaching between 83°F and 93°F, depending on your location east or west of I-25. A slight chance of storms could return on Friday night, though conditions will remain mostly dry.
The warm trend continues into Saturday, with temperatures climbing further, ranging from 86°F to 99°F. Storm chances remain minimal, but isolated storms could develop during the afternoon, bringing gusty winds and lightning.
Residents in Pine Bluffs, La Grange, and Burns should remain alert, as a Special Weather Statement has been issued due to the possibility of winds up to 50 mph until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
The heat will likely persist through early next week, with Sunday and Monday seeing highs in the mid to upper 80s. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.
