According to the National Weather Service, a High Wind Watch is in effect Wednesday, with west winds reaching 30 to 40 mph and gusts up to 65 mph. This could make travel hazardous for high-profile vehicles, including campers and tractor-trailers. Drivers should use extreme caution, especially between Chugwater and Wheatland.
By Thursday, a chance of snow showers will move in, with colder temperatures and breezy conditions expected. Snow showers will increase Friday and continue into the weekend, with daytime highs dropping into the 30s and 40s. Wind chills could make temperatures feel even colder.
