Cheyenne, WY – Residents across Wyoming can expect a stormy start to the week before clearer skies return by midweek.

According to the US National Weather Service in Cheyenne, Monday and Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and cooler, with scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms across the region. Highs Monday are expected in the mid-60s to upper 70s east of Interstate 25, with cooler readings west of the interstate ranging from the low 60s to mid-60s.

Tuesday will bring the coolest weather of the week, with highs ranging from the mid-50s to low 70s across southeastern Wyoming. Temperatures west of Interstate 25 will remain in the low to mid-50s. Cloud cover and widespread showers may cause slower travel conditions for drivers and limited outdoor activity opportunities.

By Wednesday, conditions are forecast to improve significantly. Sunny skies are expected across much of the region, with temperatures climbing back into the mid-60s to mid-70s. West of Interstate 25, highs are forecast to stay between the low 60s and upper 60s.

The shift in weather comes just as fall colors peak in parts of Wyoming, offering residents and visitors clearer conditions midweek to enjoy the seasonal views.
