Riverton, WY – A marginal risk for severe storms has been issued for portions of central and northern Wyoming this afternoon. Primary hazards include strong wind gusts and small hail, with the most intense storms expected between 2 PM and 7 PM MT.

According to the US National Weather Service in Riverton, the storms pose a 5% chance of producing damaging winds. Although the threat level is low, gusty and erratic winds may occur with any thunderstorm that develops. Residents are advised to stay alert and secure loose outdoor items.

Today’s high is forecasted to reach 89°F. The weather for the upcoming week remains mostly sunny, with temperatures climbing into the 90s. Monday’s high is expected to be 92°F, followed by 93°F on Tuesday and 90°F on Wednesday. The warm trend continues with highs of 93°F on Thursday, 96°F on Friday, and 96°F on Saturday.
