Cheyenne, WY – An active week of weather continues across southeast Wyoming with dramatic temperature swings and the return of snow forecasted by Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, temperatures will rise through Wednesday, with highs reaching the upper 60s to low 70s. A strong system will then push through the region Thursday night into Friday, bringing colder air, widespread showers, and a potential for snow.

By Friday, daytime highs may struggle to climb out of the 30s across the region, with lows dipping into the 20s. Snow chances increase Thursday night, particularly in elevated areas west of Cheyenne and into the Laramie Range.

Residents should prepare for colder conditions, especially Friday morning, when snowfall could create slick travel conditions along I-80 and area highways. The return to near-freezing highs is a notable contrast to the unseasonably warm start to the week.

Forecasters expect a return to milder conditions by the weekend, with temperatures rebounding into the 40s and 50s. Until then, residents are encouraged to monitor forecasts closely and make cold-weather preparations, particularly if traveling Friday morning.
