RIVERTON, WY – A powerful spring storm will bring high winds and snowfall to parts of Wyoming on Saturday, making travel hazardous in some areas. Strong gusts up to 60 mph, combined with fresh snow accumulation, could lead to blowing and drifting conditions, particularly in the western mountains and valleys.
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday, covering much of western and central Wyoming, including Riverton. Snowfall totals of 8 to 12 inches are expected in mountain regions, with 3 to 6 inches possible in lower elevations.
