Cheyenne, WY – Thunderstorms and warm temperatures are on the horizon for southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle. The National Weather Service in Cheyenne forecasts afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms across the region, starting today and continuing through early next week.
According to the NWS, Thursday will see partly cloudy skies with a high near 82 degrees, accompanied by potential afternoon storms, particularly west of I-25. Friday will be breezy, with highs reaching the mid-80s, and a stronger chance of storms later in the day.
Saturday is expected to be the driest day, with mostly sunny skies and highs climbing to 91 degrees in Wyoming and nearing the mid-90s in the Nebraska Panhandle. However, the clear weather won’t last long as Sunday and Monday will bring back afternoon and evening thunderstorms, with temperatures ranging from the mid-80s to low-90s.
As temperatures rise into the weekend, residents are advised to stay alert for changing weather conditions, particularly with the likelihood of strong storms returning by Sunday.
