According to the US National Weather Service, Milwaukee’s average high temperature reached 79.2°F, 2.4°F above normal. The highest temperature recorded was 94°F on June 17 and 18, tying the record for daily high temperatures. Additionally, Milwaukee received 4.71 inches of rainfall, surpassing the normal by 0.33 inches, making it the 8th wettest June in history.
Madison experienced similar anomalies, with an average high temperature of 80.2°F, 1.6°F above normal. The city reached its peak temperature of 92°F on June 17 and 18. Rainfall in Madison totaled 8.82 inches, 3.54 inches above the norm. Notably, the highest 24-hour rainfall was 2.11 inches on June 21-22, contributing to its ranking as the 7th wettest June.
