Rawlins, WY – A Wisconsin teenager reported missing is safe today after Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) troopers located her during a traffic stop along Interstate 80, ending what investigators described as a multi-state search.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, troopers responded Saturday, November 29, to a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) alert for a missing female minor from Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She was allegedly traveling with a 20-year-old male wanted on drug charges, prompting an urgent search across multiple jurisdictions.

Using cell phone pings, investigators were able to track the suspected vehicle moving westbound on I-80 between Laramie and Rawlins. A WHP trooper spotted the vehicle just outside Sinclair and conducted a stop, confirming the missing teen was inside. She was reportedly accompanied by two individuals who told authorities they were transporting her to Utah.

According to WHP, both men were taken into custody and now face charges including kidnapping and interference with parental custody. Authorities emphasized that all allegations remain under investigation.

“I am proud of the work and cooperation between the troopers and our dispatchers who went above and beyond to locate this girl and get her home safe,” said Captain Mike Simmons of WHP District 1. He added that coordinated teamwork was crucial in resolving the case.

The teen has since been reunited with her parents. WHP reports that an active investigation is ongoing, and no further details will be released at this time.
