Green Bay, WI – A winter storm is set to impact central and eastern Wisconsin this weekend, with heavy snowfall and hazardous travel conditions expected.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay, a Winter Storm Watchhas been issued for Saturday morning through Saturday evening, affecting multiple counties, including Waushara, Calumet, Manitowoc, Winnebago, Brown, Kewaunee, Outagamie, Shawano, and Waupaca. Snowfall totals between 5 and 8 inches are possible, creating dangerous road conditions.
A separate Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Marathon, Portage, and Wood Counties from late Friday night through Saturday evening. These areas are also expected to receive 5 to 8 inches of snow, which could significantly impact weekend travel.
Meanwhile, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in place until 7 a.m. Thursday due to freezing drizzle and light snow that may create slick roads for the morning commute.
