Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Wind gusts up to 45 mph will continue across south central and southeast Wisconsin through 3 p.m. CST, creating hazardous travel and the risk of isolated power outages.
According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, a Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 p.m. for Sauk, Dane, Jefferson, Waukesha, Milwaukee, Rock, Walworth, Racine and Kenosha counties, along with surrounding areas. West winds of 20 to 25 mph will produce peak gusts near 45 mph.
Loose objects may be blown around.
Drivers along Interstate 94 from Madison through Milwaukee to Kenosha and Interstate 90 near Janesville and Beloit could experience strong crosswinds, especially on elevated roadways and open rural stretches.
Tree limbs could be blown down, leading to scattered power outages in communities including Waukesha, Brookfield, Racine and Madison.
Travel may be difficult for high-profile vehicles.
Residents should secure outdoor items and use extra caution while driving this afternoon.
