Wisconsin Weather Today: Patchy Frost Early, Warmer Afternoon Expected Across Green Bay Region

Green Bay, WI – Early risers across north-central Wisconsin may have noticed patchy frost Tuesday morning, but forecasters say temperatures will rebound quickly, bringing a mild and mostly sunny day. Highs are expected to reach the upper 60s and lower 70s, several degrees warmer than Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, morning lows dipped into the mid-40s in Green Bay, with a reported 46 degrees at Austin Straubel International Airport around 4:53 a.m. Conditions will improve as the day progresses, with mostly sunny skies and light north-northwest winds at 3 to 7 mph. Afternoon clouds are likely to develop but will fade by evening.

The forecast calls for a high near 72 degrees in Green Bay Tuesday, while nearby cities such as Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids, and Oshkosh are also expected to see highs in the lower 70s. Cooler conditions linger in northern areas, with Rhinelander reaching 69 degrees and Land Oโ€™ Lakes topping out around 67.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear with lows near 50 degrees. Looking ahead, Wednesday will bring partly sunny conditions and a warmer afternoon high near 76, though showers and possible thunderstorms are expected late Wednesday night into early Thursday. Rain chances are at 60 percent, with some storms potentially lasting into early Thursday morning before skies clear later in the day.

The holiday weekend outlook remains favorable, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid-70s through Labor Day. Friday looks particularly pleasant with full sunshine and a high near 68, before warming into the mid-70s on Sunday and Monday.
