Green Bay, WI – Strong winds and snow are set to impact much of Wisconsin through Tuesday, prompting safety precautions for residents and travelers across the state. Northern areas, especially Vilas County, may receive up to 3 inches of snow, while central and eastern regions, including Green Bay and Appleton, face gusty winds reaching 45 mph.

According to the National Weather Service Green Bay, westerly winds will peak Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., shifting northwest by Tuesday with sustained gusts of 30 to 40 mph. The strongest gusts, up to 45 mph, are forecast in areas like Manitowoc and Green Bay.

Meanwhile, light snow is expected from 7 p.m. Monday through early Tuesday, primarily affecting far northern Wisconsin. Areas such as Manitowish Waters and northern Vilas County could see 1–3 inches, with lesser accumulations elsewhere.

Drivers are advised to secure loose items, keep both hands on the wheel, and allow extra time for the Tuesday morning commute due to slick, snow-covered roads. While snowfall is modest, the combined effect of wind and freezing conditions may cause visibility issues and hazardous travel across impacted areas.

Stay updated through local NWS alerts and be cautious through Tuesday afternoon.
