Wisconsin, Green Bay – Dense fog could thicken quickly across northeast Wisconsin this morning, reducing visibility and slowing travel in and around the Fox Valley.
Temperatures sit near 23 degrees in Green Bay, with light winds and high humidity creating prime conditions for fog development. Some areas may see visibility drop sharply late tonight into early Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service in Green Bay says fog may restrict visibility today and again late Saturday night into Sunday morning. Drivers along I-41, U.S. 41 and Highway 172 should prepare for sudden changes in visibility, especially near low-lying areas and along the Bay of Green Bay.
Skies stay sunny today with a high near 43. That mild February sun will help melt snow piles and dampen pavement. As temperatures fall back to 24 tonight, patchy fog develops after 2 a.m. Slick spots could form where melting snow refreezes.
Saturday begins with patchy fog before 10 a.m., then turns partly sunny with highs near 40. Sunday looks mostly sunny and milder at 44. President’s Day Monday brings sunshine and a high near 51, signaling a clear warming trend.
By midweek, rain chances return and highs hover in the mid-40s. The 6- to 10-day outlook favors above-normal temperatures, hinting at early spring vibes across Wisconsin.
