Milwaukee, WI – Storms could roll into southeast Wisconsin by late Saturday morning, with rain and lightning possible just in time to disrupt midday plans. Drivers along I-94 and I-43 should prepare for reduced visibility and slick conditions, especially near Milwaukee between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, there’s a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning after 10 a.m. Saturday, with highs reaching 84°F. Winds from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph could also gust higher during any storm activity. Saturday night clears up, but humidity lingers heading into a sunny and hot Sunday.
Sunday and Monday will feel more like peak July: highs of 83°F and 87°F respectively, under mostly sunny skies. But don’t be fooled — a humid air mass will prime the atmosphere for more storms next week. Tuesday afternoon brings a 20% chance of thunderstorms, increasing to 60% by Wednesday with a better chance for widespread rain and lightning.
More showers and thunderstorms are likely midweek, with some relief from the heat by Thursday.
