Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Light rain is back on the radar for Southeast Wisconsin, with a chance of afternoon showers developing Tuesday and building again Thursday evening. Drivers along I-94 and I-43 could see slick conditions during both evening commutes this week as temperatures climb into the upper 60s.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday, May 13, will bring a 20% chance of light rain after 1 p.m. across the Milwaukee metro, with temperatures peaking near 66°F. Winds will stay mild from the east around 5 mph. Tuesday night remains mostly cloudy with a low of 54°F.

Wednesday continues with patchy clouds and a slight 20% chance of rain, pushing highs near 67°F. By Thursday, that chance grows to 40% during the afternoon, increasing to 50% Thursday night as thunderstorms may roll into the area. Highs Thursday reach 73°F—marking the warmest day of the week and hinting at the region’s gradual shift toward summer.

Milwaukee residents should prepare for changing road conditions, especially along I-894 and surface streets during evening commutes. It’s a good week to keep umbrellas handy and limit outdoor plans late Thursday.

Looking ahead, Friday brings some clearing with a slight rain chance and highs near 73°F. The weekend looks promising: sunny Saturday near 64°F, partly cloudy Sunday with highs in the upper 50s.
