Milwaukee, WI – A powerful storm system will bring rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds to Wisconsin on Tuesday before transitioning to snow Wednesday. Travelers should prepare for wet roads, gusty conditions, and possible icy spots later in the week.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will start with partly sunny skies and a high near 50°F. By the evening, clouds will increase, bringing a 20% chance of rain after midnight. Winds will shift south at 5-10 mph.

By Wednesday, rain will intensify, with possible thunderstorms in the afternoon. Winds from the southeast will reach 25 mph, making travel challenging along I-94 and surrounding roadways. As colder air moves in, rain will turn to snow late Wednesday night, with blustery conditions and wind gusts up to 30 mph.

Thursday will clear up, bringing sunshine and a high of 41°F, though winds will remain strong. Friday sees another chance of rain and snow with highs in the mid-50s.

Spring officially arrives Thursday, March 20, but the week’s stormy conditions will make it feel more like winter. Stay updated on road conditions and prepare for changing weather.
