Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Showers and patchy fog could slow down Wednesday morning commutes across southeastern Wisconsin as the spring pattern grows more unsettled midweek.
According to the National Weather Service, areas of fog may develop before 7 a.m. Wednesday, particularly near Lake Michigan and along I-94 and I-43 corridors. Light rain is likely between 4 a.m. and noon, with chances decreasing in the afternoon as highs reach the mid-60s.
Thunderstorms are expected to return Thursday, with a 50 percent chance of rain and storms after 1 p.m. Highs will climb to a warm 75°F under partly sunny skies. Gusty winds up to 15 mph from the southwest may accompany the storms.
City-by-city breakdown:
- Waukesha and Brookfield: Expect mostly cloudy skies early Wednesday, with gradual clearing and a return to sun by Thursday midday.
- Racine and Kenosha: Patchy fog Wednesday morning may reduce visibility. Use caution on Route 32 and other lake-adjacent roads.
- West Allis and Greenfield: Wednesday’s fog will lift by 9 a.m., but storm chances rise sharply into Thursday.
Looking ahead:
Friday brings more sun with just a 20 percent chance of afternoon showers. The weekend looks mostly dry and warm, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s Saturday and Sunday. Monday will start cooler, with a 20 percent rain chance and a high near 59°F.
