WISCONSIN – Southeast Wisconsin is gearing up for a wet and stormy Saturday as showers and thunderstorms roll through the Milwaukee metro area before cooler, calmer weather returns to wrap up the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, rain will become widespread by early Saturday morning, with a few thunderstorms possible during the afternoon. Winds will increase through the day, gusting up to 30 mph at times. The I-94 corridor from Racine to Waukesha could see localized ponding on roads during heavier downpours.

Residents planning Saturday errands, football games, or pumpkin patch visits should prepare for gusty winds and wet conditions. Keep rain gear handy and drive cautiously if traveling across southern Wisconsin. Although severe weather is not expected, heavier showers may bring brief, reduced visibility.

By Sunday, the system moves east, ushering in cooler, breezy air and sunshine. Highs will top out near 56°F, offering crisp fall air ideal for outdoor plans and scenic drives along Lake Michigan. Monday continues the pleasant trend, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-60s.

Midweek looks seasonable with highs in the upper 50s and occasional clouds — classic late-October weather. After Saturday’s rain, Wisconsin’s fall charm will shine through with sunny skies and that perfect jacket-weather chill.
