Green Bay, Wis. – Overnight frost and dangerous Lake Michigan conditions set the stage for an unsettled start to the week in Wisconsin. Drivers and boaters should brace for hazards as early as tonight, with colder air and rough water posing risks before thunderstorms return Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a Frost Advisory remains in effect overnight for counties north and west of the Fox Valley. Patchy fog could also reduce visibility along Highway 29 into Monday morning. Meanwhile, a Beach Hazards Statement begins at 7 p.m. Monday, warning of dangerous swimming conditions through Tuesday evening.

Tuesday brings the next major concern. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop after 4 p.m., especially across Green Bay and surrounding counties. Winds could gust over 20 mph, raising the threat of rough travel and difficult boating conditions on the bay and Lake Michigan.

Residents should limit unnecessary travel in early morning fog, dress for cooler temperatures, and avoid swimming in Lake Michigan until conditions improve. Drivers along major routes, including Highway 29 and I-43, should use extra caution Tuesday evening when storms move in.

Mostly sunny skies return Wednesday with highs near 77, though another chance for showers lingers into Friday. The weekend looks more settled, with highs pushing into the low 80s by Sunday.

Hazards remain in place until Tuesday night, with additional advisories possible if storms intensify.
