Green Bay, Wis. – Cold air sweeping across north-central Wisconsin brought a late-season frost risk early Sunday, prompting a Frost Advisory through 9 a.m. for much of the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, temperatures dipped into the low-to-mid 30s in cities like Rhinelander, Wausau, and Sturgeon Bay, with isolated pockets near freezing. The advisory urged residents to cover or bring in sensitive plants to avoid damage from the cold.
Sunday’s chill will give way to slightly warmer highs in the low 60s to low 70s across central and eastern Wisconsin. Light, scattered afternoon showers are possible but not widespread. Towns along Highway 29 and U.S. 51 should expect patchy fog and damp roads during early morning travel.
Looking ahead, unsettled weather returns Tuesday through Thursday, with increasing rain chances midweek. Daytime highs will remain near seasonal averages, ranging from the upper 60s to low 70s.
The Frost Advisory will expire by 9 a.m., but residents should monitor temperatures again overnight in case conditions repeat. More updates will follow if additional advisories are issued.
