Green Bay, WI – The National Weather Service in Green Bay reports that periodic rain showers will continue through midweek, followed by clearing skies and colder nights as Wisconsin transitions into a chilly weekend pattern.
Rain will taper off by Wednesday evening, with breezy northwest winds bringing cooler air across the region. By Thursday, showers may linger in northern counties, and a few snowflakes could mix in as temperatures drop into the mid-30s overnight.
Forecasters say Friday will stay mostly cloudy, with highs near 47–54°F, before a drier, sunnier stretch begins on Saturday and Sunday, when daytime highs climb back into the 50s. However, overnight lows from Wednesday through Friday could dip to near or below freezing, raising concerns for frost and icy morning conditions in rural and low-lying areas.
Residents are advised to protect outdoor plants, cover sensitive vegetation, and use caution on early morning commutes as patchy frost and slick spots may develop.
According to the NWS, the overall trend points toward a drier and seasonally cool weekend before another system approaches early next week.
