Wisconsin – Water is already running high along rivers near Green Bay this morning, and with more rain on the way, levels could remain elevated through the day. Areas near streams and low-lying roads may see standing water or minor overflow.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, some rivers remain above bankfull, and additional rainfall today will keep flows elevated. Rain develops by mid to late afternoon with precipitation chances near 60%, along with patchy fog reducing visibility at times.

Green Bay, De Pere, and surrounding communities should use caution near rivers and creeks, especially where water is already high. Avoid walking or driving near flooded areas, and be alert for changing conditions near bridges and low crossings.

Rain tapers off later, but cooler air settles in heading into Friday. Highs reach only the upper 30s, and a brief chance of snow showers may develop during the afternoon. While accumulation looks minimal, it signals a colder shift.

By Friday night, temperatures drop to around 22°F, increasing the risk of refreezing on wet surfaces. Any standing water near roads or sidewalks could turn icy by early Saturday.

The weekend improves with sunshine and highs in the low 40s Saturday, then a milder push into the upper 50s Sunday. Early next week remains seasonable with additional rain chances returning.

River levels may stay elevated even after rain ends, so continue monitoring conditions. Are you noticing higher water levels near your area today?
