Green Bay, Wis. – Overnight fog is set to blanket northeast Wisconsin, bringing hazardous travel conditions to highways and county roads before Tuesday’s sunshine returns. Drivers along U.S. Highway 41 and Interstate 43 should prepare for low visibility late Monday into early Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, dense fog will form across far northeast Wisconsin, especially in rural valleys and low-lying areas. Visibility could drop to near zero, creating dangerous driving conditions through early Tuesday morning. Motorists are urged to slow down, use headlights, and allow extra time for commutes.

Tuesday will bring a sharp turnaround. Sunshine and highs near 84 degrees are expected, offering a taste of late-summer warmth. By Wednesday, highs will climb to the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies, but scattered thunderstorms could develop mid to late week as fall patterns start to shift.

Travelers and residents should stay alert for changing conditions later this week. While Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry, the return of storm chances from Wednesday night through the weekend may bring brief downpours and slick roads. Outdoor plans should include backup options as showers remain possible into Sunday.
