La Crosse, Wisconsin – Temperatures are climbing back into the 50s and low 60s across western Wisconsin this week, bringing a stretch of milder spring weather with only light, passing showers expected.

According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, highs will range from the upper 30s north of Interstate 94 to the low 60s along and south of the I-90 corridor, including La Crosse, Onalaska, and Prairie du Chien. Overnight lows will dip into the 20s and 30s, keeping mornings cool despite the daytime warmup.

Rain chances will be scattered and generally light, with brief showers possible at times through midweek. Wednesday stands out as a slightly wetter day, though no widespread heavy rainfall is expected.

Travel impacts should remain minimal, but drivers may encounter occasional wet roads during passing showers, especially along major routes like I-90 and Highway 53. The bigger story remains the steady return to near or slightly above normal temperatures for late March.

Residents can expect a gradual warming trend to continue into midweek before another cooldown arrives late in the week. Additional updates will follow if rain chances increase or temperatures trend warmer than expected.
