Green Bay, Wisconsin – A quiet and cool start to the week is underway across northeast Wisconsin, but a midweek warmup will quickly give way to a rain-snow mix that could impact travel by Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, highs today will range from 38 to 45 degrees under partly sunny skies, offering a calm break before conditions begin to shift. Clouds will increase Tuesday and Wednesday as temperatures climb into the mid-50s Tuesday and as high as 61 degrees inland by Wednesday afternoon.
Cities including Appleton, Oshkosh, and Green Bay will see the warmest stretch midweek, with milder air supporting snowmelt and wet road conditions during the day.
By Thursday, a system moves into the region bringing a 40 percent chance of a wintry mix, including light rain and snow. While widespread accumulation is not yet certain, changing precipitation types could create slick roads, especially during the morning and evening commutes along I-41 and Highway 172.
Residents should prepare for fluctuating conditions and monitor updates as timing becomes clearer.
More advisories may be issued ahead of Thursday’s system as confidence increases in precipitation type and impacts.
