Wisconsin – Light flakes drift across parts of Milwaukee this morning, with cold pavement and a biting wind chill creating slick spots just as traffic builds.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures hover near 29°F at Mitchell International Airport, with wind chills dipping to 24°F. A chance of flurries lingers into mid-morning, especially on untreated roads and elevated surfaces like I-94 overpasses.

Conditions improve by late morning as clouds thin and temperatures rise toward 50°F. Roads will gradually dry, but drivers should stay alert early, especially in shaded neighborhoods and along bridges.

A brief spring preview arrives Wednesday. Highs climb to 60°F under partly sunny skies, offering a mild break across southeast Wisconsin. Winds remain light, making it one of the more comfortable days of the week.

Changes return quickly Thursday. Rain develops after midday, with a 30 percent chance of showers and increasing cloud cover. Wet roads and reduced visibility could slow travel on I-43 and Highway 41 during the afternoon commute.

Behind the system, colder air rushes back in. By Thursday night, temperatures fall toward the upper 20s with north winds gusting up to 25 mph. Any leftover moisture may refreeze, raising concern for slick conditions into early Friday.

Friday stays colder, with highs only reaching the upper 30s before skies gradually clear.
