Green County residents should be aware that the 2025 Wisconsin Statewide Tornado Drill is scheduled for Thursday, April 10, at 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. The Green County Sheriff’s Office will be testing the county’s tornado sirens as part of this drill.
During the scheduled times, local outdoor warning sirens will be activated, and the NOAA Weather Radio will conduct a routine weekly test. Community members are encouraged to take part in the drill by practicing their tornado and severe weather safety plans. If individuals are unable to participate during the test times, they are urged to take some time later in the day to discuss safety procedures with family members, friends, and coworkers.
This annual drill helps ensure that residents know how to react in the event of severe weather, and that they are familiar with the local alert systems, making it a crucial event for public safety.
