Green Bay, Wisconsin – Snow is actively moving across eastern Wisconsin early this morning, creating slick stretches on roads and slowing the commute across the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, light snow will continue for several hours, with total accumulation ranging from a dusting up to half an inch. While totals remain low, even minor snowfall is enough to reduce traction on untreated roads.
Communities including Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Sturgeon Bay are seeing the most consistent bands of snow. Roads like I-41, I-43, and Highway 29 are experiencing patchy slick spots, especially on bridges and overpasses where temperatures remain colder.
Visibility may briefly drop in heavier bursts, and road conditions can change quickly within short distances. Drivers are urged to slow down, increase following distance, and allow extra travel time through the morning.
Conditions improve by late morning as snow tapers off and crews treat roadways, though some slushy patches may linger into midday. Additional updates will be issued if bands intensify or travel impacts worsen.
