Washington County, WI – A large-scale criminal interdiction operation in southern Washington County on Wednesday night resulted in multiple arrests, drug seizures, and traffic stops, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The October 22 joint operation involved the Washington County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Unit, the Germantown Police Department, and county deputies working to identify and deter criminal activity along key corridors.
According to the sheriff’s office, the effort produced 105 traffic stops, 8 felony charges, 6 misdemeanors, and 3 warrant arrests. Offenses ranged from narcotics possession and bail jumping to ignition interlock violations and fleeing police.
In one case, a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman allegedly led officers on a pursuit before being stopped by a PIT maneuver in Menomonee Falls. Deputies also recovered quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl mixture, and THC during the operation.
Germantown officers assisted with multiple arrests, including two individuals taken into custody on Department of Corrections warrants. One driver allegedly concealed crack cocaine in his mouth during a stop and was arrested for possession and paraphernalia charges.
Sheriff Martin R. Schulteis said the collaboration sends a “clear message” to those attempting to traffic drugs or engage in criminal activity: “Washington County is not a place to conduct your business.”
Authorities say similar coordinated enforcement efforts are planned as part of ongoing efforts to maintain roadway and community safety.
