Green Bay, Wis. – Wisconsinites woke up to a chilly Monday morning, with temperatures plunging into the low 30s across north-central areas and the low 40s in the Fox Valley. Conditions are expected to stay cool and mostly cloudy throughout the day, with highs topping out between 50 and 58 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, rain will return to the region Tuesday, especially in southern areas, with breezy conditions developing by the afternoon. Showers are expected to continue into Wednesday before tapering off by evening.
Residents in cities like Appleton, Oshkosh, and Wausau should prepare for a soggy midweek stretch, especially during Tuesday’s commute. Roads may become slick, particularly in rural or shaded areas. Wind gusts could reach up to 25 mph, so securing outdoor items is recommended.
Although skies will begin to clear by Thursday, temperatures will remain below seasonal averages through midweek. With the ground already saturated in parts of the region, minor flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
Rain chances taper off by Wednesday evening, but additional advisories may be issued if winds intensify or precipitation totals increase.
