Shields, WI – An 18-year-old from Watertown was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Dodge County, authorities said.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 6:28 p.m. Saturday to County Road Q near Pit Road in the town of Shields. Investigators said a 2006 Acura sedan was traveling north when it left the roadway, struck several trees and came to rest nearly 50 yards into a wooded area.

The driver, identified Monday as Caleb Guatemala, 18, of Watertown, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office initially withheld the teen’s name until family notifications were completed.

Sheriff’s officials said the City of Watertown Fire and EMS, the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team, Dodge County Chaplains and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team all assisted at the scene.

Authorities said the crash remains under investigation, and no further details have been released.
