Waukesha, WI – A Wisconsin teenager has been formally charged with double homicide following the deaths of two family members in the Village of Waukesha.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, 17-year-old Nikita Casap now faces multiple felony charges including two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, two counts of hiding a corpse, theft of property over $10,000, and misappropriating identification to obtain money. The charges stem from a weeks-long investigation into the deaths of Casap’s mother, 35-year-old Tatiana Casap, and stepfather, 51-year-old Donald Mayer.

Deputies initially discovered the scene after responding to a welfare check on February 28 at 9:44 a.m., where they found one individual deceased. Authorities later confirmed the identities of both victims on March 5. The investigation revealed both victims had been deceased inside the home prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

Casap, who was initially in custody on separate charges, was named a person of interest early in the investigation. As of March 27, he remains in custody.

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with additional information to contact Detective Sam Yanke at 262-896-8117 or 262-548-7128. The case remains open and active.
