Peoria, IL – A traffic stop in Peoria led to the arrest of a suspect wanted for vehicular homicide in Wisconsin, among other charges.
According to Peoria police reports it began on Saturday around 12:52 PM when Peoria police were called to the 2600 block of W. Lake St. following a theft report. The investigation quickly moved to the 1900 block of W. Forrest Hill, where officers stopped a vehicle linked to the incident. The vehicle’s occupants included two adult males and a female identified as 22-year-old Tiambra Walker, who attempted to flee but was apprehended.
Walker, wanted for vehicular homicide in Madison, Wisconsin, now faces additional charges in Illinois, including theft, unlawful use of a credit card, aggravated battery on police, and resisting police. The other occupants, 29-year-old Tervon Moore and 52-year-old Thomas B. Jennings, were arrested on theft, suspended license, and drug charges, respectively, and were taken to the Peoria County Jail.
The Peoria Police Department urges anyone with information related to violent crimes to come forward, offering several confidential ways to report. They remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
