Green Bay, Wis. – Scattered showers and storms could disrupt parts of east-central Wisconsin late tonight into Tuesday, with the strongest activity expected Tuesday afternoon. Damaging winds and large hail are possible in a few storms, particularly between 2 and 7 p.m. as a cold front sweeps through.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, cloud cover from the morning may determine the severity of the storms. Heavier development is more likely if skies clear enough to allow the atmosphere to warm quickly. Areas from east-central to far northeast Wisconsin face the greatest threat for isolated strong cells.
Drivers should plan for wet roads and possible reduced visibility Tuesday afternoon, especially along Highways 41 and 29. Residents are urged to secure outdoor items and monitor alerts, as any severe storms could develop quickly.
By Wednesday, conditions turn drier and less humid, though some haze from Canadian wildfire smoke may linger. Comfortable summer weather is expected through Thursday under partly cloudy skies.
