Milwaukee, WI – Commuters across southeastern Wisconsin are waking up to slippery roads this morning as freezing drizzle lingers from overnight snowfall. The National Weather Service warns that untreated roads, particularly in Milwaukee, Fond du Lac, and Madison, may be slick until the system moves east by 8 a.m.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, DOT cameras show snow-covered roads and patches of ice in several areas. Drivers should allow extra travel time and reduce speeds, especially on highways and overpasses.

Looking ahead, Milwaukee’s five-day forecast brings a mix of winter weather and a midweek warm-up. Monday will see mostly cloudy skies with a high near 41°F. A slight chance of rain lingers in the afternoon. Tuesday remains dry but chilly, with a high near 30°F.

By Wednesday, another round of snow and freezing rain is expected, tapering off into Thursday. Temperatures will fluctuate, reaching the mid-40s before another cooldown.

Residents should monitor road conditions and prepare for changing weather this week. Stay updated with the latest forecasts and drive safely.
