According to the National Weather Service, the smoke will stay in the upper atmosphere, preventing significant air quality impacts. However, the haze will continue into Friday. Temperatures will peak by midweek, with highs expected to reach 86 degrees on Wednesday. Thursday’s highs will range from 82 to 87 degrees, with continued smoky skies and mild, partly cloudy conditions.
The forecast calls for a slight cooldown starting Friday, with temperatures dropping into the upper 70s and lower 80s. The smoky skies are expected to remain through the weekend as warm, dry weather continues across the state.
