Fitchburg, WI – A 20-year-old man suspected of committing a homicide in Milwaukee was arrested Thursday in Fitchburg, police announced.
According to the Fitchburg Police Department, officers with the Special Response Team assisted Milwaukee authorities in locating the suspect. Police said teams made contact at two separate residences before finding the individual at a home in the 2100 block of High Ridge Trail. The man was taken into custody without incident.
Authorities said the suspect was later transferred to the Milwaukee Police Department, which is leading the investigation into the alleged homicide. The Madison Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) also assisted in the operation.
No further details about the homicide case, including the victim’s identity or circumstances of the crime, have been released. Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
