Whitewater, WI – September 26, 2025 – Late Friday night, Whitewater Police arrested multiple individuals after shots were allegedly fired near a residential intersection. No injuries were reported in the incident.

According to the Whitewater Police Department, officers responded around 11:47 p.m. to reports of gunfire near South Summit Street and West Highland Street. Investigators recovered several .40 caliber shell casings at the scene. Officers identified Pablo J. Vasquez Brittain, 19, of Delavan, as the alleged shooter.

Police said Vasquez Brittain and associates were later located at a Delavan residence. A multi-agency team, including the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Rock County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, and Delavan Police, executed a search warrant. Firearms and illicit drugs were recovered, and all individuals at the residence were taken into custody without incident.

Vasquez Brittain has been charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety, according to the Walworth County District Attorney’s Office. Two others, identified as Matthew J. Conrad, 18, of Elkhorn, and Lamar N. Early, 19, of Delavan, were also confined to the Walworth County Jail, though no formal charges had been filed against them as of Saturday.
