Kenosha, WI – A 67-year-old Kenosha man reportedly set fire to his home and garage on Wednesday morning, subsequently suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the Kenosha Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:54 a.m. in the 3400 block of 30th Street. Responding to reports of a structure fire, officers found the man injured. He reportedly admitted to intentionally setting the fires before sustaining his injuries. He was then airlifted to a Milwaukee hospital for treatment. The Kenosha Police Department is investigating the incident.

The Kenosha Fire Department discovered two active fires on the property: one in the home and one in the detached garage. Both fires were contained, preventing damage to neighboring properties.
